Good day fellows of Burlington and the rest of the web. This Graphic Design 101 video will show you how to cut an image in Photoshop/ImageReady for HTML output.

What’s that all about you ask? Well eventually, when you start getting your own clients, they may provide you with an image layout which would be called a template, of what they want their site to look like. The only problem is, it’s a graphic, an image. What are you as a web designer supposed to do with that?

Well the answer is simple. Open the image in ImageReady and simply follow in the instructions in the video below. It’s simple and in the end you have an image that has HTML behind it. From there you can edit the HTML to your liking or to your clients wishes.

Well this is simple but to many new-comers to web and graphic design, switching your working image/picture from Photoshop to ImageReady may not be easy at first. Some of you may not even know you could or why you ever should.

Well the method of switching from one program to the other whilst you’re in your graphic design mode is was easy as hitting the button at the bottom of your Toolbar. The last button which doesn’t even look like a button to be honest with you.

Why would you switch programs whilst designing or working on a graphic? Well some of the features in Photoshop aren’t in ImageReady and vice versa. It’s as simple as that but to tell you the truth, if you’re still using Photoshop and ImageReady to design your graphics you’re missing out on a whole new world of Adobe’s CS4. CS4 is Photoshop and ImageReady all into one.
